The Gastonia Transit bus fleet consists of seven (7) 2004 35-foot transit buses, three (3) demand response vans, and the only compressed natural gas ("CNG") bus in the state of North Carolina. All units are air-conditioned and designed to accommodate our mobility impaired passengers. All buses pass through the downtown transfer terminal, Bradley Station, located at 121 N. Oakland Street. This allows for quick and easy transfers to be made.
Gastonia Transit covers over 299,000 miles per year, providing service to over 282,000 passengers annually. Clicking on the following link will allow you to access our transit system map complete with detailed route and passenger instructions.

The Gastonia Transit ADA Van Service operates curb-to-curb van service for our passengers that cannot utilize the fixed route bus system due to a physical or mental disability. Service must be scheduled no later than one (1) day prior to service date but may be scheduled up to fourteen (14) days in advance. Trips may be scheduled for any reason and are scheduled on a first come first served basis. The ADA Van Service only operates within the City limits of Gastonia. Personal care attendants who assist passengers on trips are supplied by the family or agency of the passenger and are NOT supplied by Gastonia Transit. At times our vans carry multiple passengers from different locations therefore the drivers are not able to provide personal care to passengers.
