Ms. Webster joined the Gastonia Police Department as the Police Attorney in June 2006. She serves as a legal advisor for Gastonia Police and also for Belmont Police, Dallas Police and the Gaston County Sheriff's Office.
Prior to joining the GPD she worked as the assistant U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia, Atlanta Division. Other work experience includes service as the national manager of the Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance and Appeals for the U.S. Postal Service in Washington, D.C.; service as the senior police attorney and later deputy city attorney for the City of Charlotte; and service 1989-1990 as the GPD Police Attorney.
Ms. Webster is a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Law.
