• Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the State of North Carolina Department of Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.
• Has served in Patrol, Detectives, Vice/Narcotics, and as a polygraph examiner and ABC sergeant.
• Gastonia Police Department Awards: Medal for Valor, Medal for Merit (Mayor's Award); Lifesaving Medal; Exceptional Duty Award.
