
Mr. Bombardier is presently responsible for professional and administrative work in a variety of assignments relating to the planning, direction, control, and evaluation of the operations and programs of the Public Works/Utilities, Engineering, and Electrical Departments. He has been employed with the City since December of 1985, serving in various capacities, including service as the Director of Engineering/City Engineer until 2001.
Prior to his employment with the City of Gastonia, Mr. Bombardier served with the private sector in both the construction industry and engineering consultant areas. In addition, he has served at various capacities of local and state organizations and community involvement, including Past President of the North Carolina American Public Works Association, member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, affiliate member of the North Carolina League of Municipalities Policy Committees, member of the Gaston County Quality of Natural Resources Commission, Board member of the Gaston County Central Branch YMCA, and an active participant of the Gaston County Schools Mentoring Program.
Mr. Bombardier has a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is also a registered professional engineer in both North and South Carolina.
