PROJECT: Franklin Boulevard Streetscape
LOCATION: Franklin Blvd. between Vance St. and Ransom St.
DESCRIPTION: Project consist of the design and construction of new curb and gutter, sidewalks, wheelchair ramps, and several tree planters on Franklin Blvd. between Vance St. and Ransom St. The project will also include the removal and replacement of the existing street lights and traffic signals with decorative street lights, mast arm traffic signals complete with the placement of underground electrical utilities.

TULIP DRIVE BRIDGE
PROJECT: Tulip Drive Bridge Replacement
LOCATION: Tulip Drive
DESCRIPTION: The design and construction of a new bridge to replace the existing deteriorated bridge crossing Kaylor Branch. The proejct will also include the construction of a temporary bridge to maintain traffic during the demolition of the old bridge and construction of the new bridge.

SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS

PROJECT: Sanitary Sewer Improvements Phase I & II
LOCATION: Queens Road, Queens Court, Ridge Mill Neighborhood, and Nila Dawn Drive (south Gastonia)
DESCRIPTION: Extension of public sanitary sewer to serve the areas listed above. The project will provide dependable sewer service to an area of Gaston County with failing septic systems, an aging private sand filter treatment facility (Ridge Mill), and private privy treatment facilities. Gaston County has obtained grants from the Clean Water Management Trust Fund and Community Development Block Grant for funding of the construction of these projects.

DUHART FORCEMAIN REPLACMENT

PROJECT: Duhart Forcement Replacement
LOCATION: Titman Road and Lowell Bethesda Road
DESCRIPTION: Remove and replace a portion of the City's Duhart-Catawba 24 inch forcemain. The proposed project is to replace the remaining deteriorating forcemain along Titman Road and Lowell Bethesda Road in southeast Gastonia. The project will ensure dependable transference of the city's wastewater to the appropriate treatment and/or storage facility.

LINEBERGER PARK IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT: Lineberger Park Site Improvements
LOCATION: 632 East Garrison Blvd.
DESCRIPTION: Improvements include: Carousel, two new picnic shelters, ticket booth/restroom building, new playground area, installation of new spray park, three new parking areas totaling 105 parking spaces, relocation and construction of a new basketball court, and sidewalk improvements.
STATUS: 50% of design complete with construction scheduled to start in Summer, 2008.

FAIRVIEW WATERLINE EXTENSION
PROJECT: Fairview Road Waterline Extension
LOCATION: Fairview Road to the Gastonia Technology Park
DESCRIPTION: This project consists of the design and construction of a 16-inch waterline to provide a loop between the existing watermains on Fairview Road and the Gastonia Technology Park. The proposed waterline extension will improve water quality and provide additional flow for the entire northwest portion of the County.
