Reviews proposed subdivision development plans within the City and extraterritorial jurisdiction for conformance with all City, State and Federal ordinances, in order to protect the public health, safety, and welfare.

Q: Can I subdivide my property?

Most properties can be subdivided provided the minimal requirements of the Subdivision Ordinance, Zoning Ordinance and any other State and Federal Ordinances are met.

Q: Where can I purchase a Subdivision Ordinance?

Copies of the Subdivision Ordinance are available from the City of Gastonia Engineering Department at a cost of $5.00. Contact the Engineering Department at 704.866.6022 or visit our offices at 150 South York Street

Q: Do all subdivision plans need to be submitted to the City?

Yes. This is the only way to insure that all subdivisions meet minimal requirements.
