Stormwater Maintenance

The City of Gastonia Stormwater System contains over 18,000 stormwater structures and over 250 miles of pipe. In order to maintain this extensive system, the City operates 1 dedicated crew and one shared crew that routinely inspect, clean and repair our stormwater system. Keeping our stormwater system working is a critical component in providing both public safety and protecting the quality of our local creeks.
