The City's Electric Department is responsible for placement of all new street lights and rental lights. Normally, street lights are not installed on residential streets without petitions. Security lights are installed in residents' yard for a monthly fee. Installation charges must be paid at the time of placement. Monthly charges are included on regular utility bill after installation. Additional charges may apply for extra poles, underground wiring or longer brackets.
