Gastonia Police Department
Gastonia Police Joins Federal Task Force On Monday July 25, 2005, Nine Gastonia officers officially joined the U.S. Marshals' Hornet's Nest Task Force. These officers are now special deputies, which will give them the extra-territorial jurisdiction and authority needed to participate in both federal and local task force fugitive investigations.
The Gastonia officers were sworn in by acting United States Marshal Kelly M. Nesbit.
