The City of Gastonia installs and maintains streetlights and security lights for its electric customers throughout Gastonia.
The placement of streetlights is determined by City of Gastonia Engineering Division to provide safety and security for residents of the City of Gastonia. These lights are normally at the edge of a property line or at the curb, facing the street.
For additional security, City of Gastonia customers may request a security light to be installed on their property for a monthly fee. To see a schedule of fees for security lights see the Security Light Fee Schedule in the Quick Links section to the right or call 704-866-6826 to speak with our lighting specialist who can help you choose the best lighting solution for your property.
