Yard of the Week
We were so excited about the enthusiasm of the community. This year we had a record-breaking number of nominations. Thanks to the citizens for wanting to celebrate the efforts of those in their neighborhood and community. The resident needs to live in the city limits of Gastonia.
Judges for Spring, Summer, and Fall are all Extension Master Gardeners who volunteer to ride through each Ward to pick winning yards.

Yard of the Week - Holiday Lights
Thank you for Keeping Gastonia Beautiful and Bright!
What a pleasure it has been to see the pride one has in celebrating the season! From the lights with music to the many blow-ups and the houses that sparkle, we have been overwhelmed by all who decorated-even neighborhoods and certain streets as a whole were in the holiday spirit. We were excited to learn the stories behind those who decorated. A special thanks goes to our judges, members of our Keep Gastonia Beautiful board of directors, who had the hardest job making a selection, and our photographer Tom Hauer who did an awesome job capturing the spirit.
Homes are picked throughout the City of Gastonia during a 4 week period.
Homes MUST be located within the City Limits of Gastonia to qualify.
