The Gastonia Police Department, in conjunction with the Gaston County Police Department and Gaston County Sheriff’s Office, is applying for the 2019 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant. Each agency will be reserving 3% of their award to come into compliance with NIBRS and the remaining funds will be used to purchase the following:
- Gastonia Police Department: Technology upgrades for the Mobile Command Truck
- Gaston County Police Department: Fingerprint Scanners, E-Citation Printers, handheld thermometers, and portable work lights for CSI
- Gaston County Sheriff’s Office: Printer/Fax/Scanners and Strencor Functional Trainer Equipment
