Two Rivers Utilities offers sewer tap location services for parcels within our service area. Non-destructive methods, up to and including CCTV will be utilized to investigate the public sanitary sewer system serving the requested property. If a sanitary sewer tap is found, a mark will be made on the ground indicating the approximate location.
There is a non-refundable fee of $220 for this service.
Two Rivers Utilities does not guarantee a sanitary sewer tap will be found servicing the requested property. If a tap is found, it is the customer’s responsibility to find or install a sewer clean out on the right-of-way line.

Fees must be paid prior to service being performed. Payment in the form of a check or money order made payable to the City of Gastonia may be:
- Paid in person at the Garland Business Center, 1st Floor, 150 S. York Street, Gastonia, NC
- Mailed to City of Gastonia Customer Service, PO Box 1748, Gastonia, NC 28053 with a copy of the completed Sewer Tap Investigation Request form.
Once payment is received and confirmed, Two Rivers Utilities staff will contact you by phone within 10 business days with the results.
